Graphic Design
Framework

So Many Words. Nothing Said.
No Sale.

What is Information Design? It is graphics, text, photographs, illustrations, topics, facts, fiction and even data combined to say something meaningful. They appear to us as marketing documents, sales training tools and promotional materials such as brochures, manuals, catalogs, magazine ads, posters and the like. The mere fact that you have the right information does not ensure it is presented and organized in a fashion that people will understand and ultimately buy your product or service.

A Confident Customer Buys!

No one likes to feel like an idiot. Like they have been taken. Each of us has felt this way at times when we bought something that was not as it seemed. Each time this has happened to me, I was really bothered, or dare I say, ticked off!

Now you may be thinking "We have good products and excellent services. We are not trying to ‘take’ anyone or mislead them." That may very well be true, but if your customers do not feel confident in what they are buying, it doesn’t matter.

Creating confidence and trust isn’t about fancy language or a slick presentation. It involves presenting a clear, understandable message that educates your customer and leaves them with the comforting thought, "I know what I’m buying".

Don’t Present Trash…Literally.

Just like an unprofessional-looking website will receive a quick-draw back button, unprofessional-looking documents and presentations will need no assistance finding their way to the trash. I don’t care how good the product, service or offer is, if someone didn’t take the time to present it properly, one can only wonder if they will take the time to properly serve you as their customer. That lack of effort speaks loudly. It bothers me to see a great product overlooked because little effort was taken to make it look professional. Customers quickly look to the product with the most visual "wow" factor even though it is inferior or just plan stinks.

Why not hire a graphic designer?

Because design is far from the only issue. Besides a professional appearance, information design incorporates all that expensive marketing research and strategy you have taken the time to develop. A clear, professional presence should take into consideration your message, target audience and approach. Far too often graphics designers will create a beautiful design that speaks to no one, or at the very least, not your customer. This will cost your company time, resources, money and sales.
